Malaysia national U-23 football head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee has said that his future remains an enigma as contract talks will only resume after the festive season.
Kim Swee, who led Malaysia to the gold medal at the 2011 SEA Games, had a rather atrocious campaign at the World University Games (Universiade) as well as the 2015 SEA Games, which prompted The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to set up a task force to follow up and evaluate the team’s performance and Kim Swee’s future.
“I will meet the management after the Raya celebrations to resolve my future. I have a contract that will end in December and I intent to honor it before making my decision.” he said, as quoted by Harian Metro.
“The priority are what I intend to accomplish and what the management requires, it is up to the future discussions with the FAM.
“Ultimately, the management will have the final say. So I do hope that whatever decision that is made, will be the best for Malaysian football.” he added.
