Frost remains unperturbed despite Kim Her exit rumours

Badminton Association of Malaysia’s Technical Director Morten Frost is not pushing the panic button just yet, despite the fact that doubles coach Tan Kim Her could be on the brink of departing BAM.

Kim Her is reportedly a target of the Badminton Association of India (BAI), who have made a massive offer to spearhead and continue India’s recent growth within the sport.

Should he depart, it would be a major blow for BAM, who have already lost names like Rashid Sidek and Rosman Razak. However, Kim Her will have one month to think about the offer before making a decision and Frost isn’t prepared to jump his gun just yet.

“Why should I panic, there’s no reason for that,” he told Harian Metro.

“I’ve not started the hunt for a new coach as well. We will only do that when Kim Her decides to leave BAM. I’m glad he informed us of the offer and we’ve given him time to think about it before making a decision.

“But there won’t be any major structural changes within BAM and we are not looking to bringing in additional coaches at this point,” he added.
