When it comes to football, there are players who work hard, and there are players who are naturally gifted.
Ronaldinho is a player who’s lucky enough to be in both categories. Even in his later years of playing football, Ronaldinho continues to amaze fans with his moments of brilliance.
Like this one.
In a Brazilian league match between Sao Paulo and his club Athletico Mineiro, Ronaldinho produced a sneaky assist which involved a water bottle.
While the ball goes out for a throw-in halfway up the pitch, the Brazilian player appears at first to be walking over slowly to the Sao Paulo goalkeeper Rogério Ceni, asking for his water bottle.
Instead of running back up the pitch after his drink, he goes to the left side of the goal completely unmarked.
When play resumes, he received the long throw-in – knowing the offside rule doesn’t apply to throw-ins – and calmly crosses the ball for his teammate to score.
Well played, Ronaldinho. Well played indeed.
