MHC ready to make radical changes

Following Malaysia’s disappointing display at the World Hockey League, the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) is ready to enforce restructuring of management within the organization after an attentive study done on the evaluation of the national team’s performance.

“Datuk Seri Subahan will seek for approval from all parties before making a decision in order see what drastic steps will be needed.” MHC vice president Dr S Shamala said, as quoted by Harian Metro.

“Our priority is to ensure that we qualify for the Tokyo Olympic games in 2020”. She concluded.

MHC President Datuk Seri Subahan has previously come and said that the Malaysian hockey team needs to stop this unacceptable notion of seeking help from other nations to qualify.

Malaysia still has a chance of qualifying after finishing as the reserve team, albeit by the smallest margins.

They lost to India 3-2, and although the thrashed France 4-1, they lost the all important match against Ireland as they were thrashed 4-1, thus ensuring that they would finish as the reserve team.
