Tomas Berdych was beaten by Giles Simon 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 in Wimbledon, ensuring that he would not make it to the quarterfinals.
However, a misinformed journalist obviously did not get the memo as Berdych did not take his question lightly.
When asked about how he felt advancing to the last eight, Berdych couldn’t believe what he has just heard before displaying a puzzled look, turning his head to the moderator and if the journalist was making fun of him.
“Sorry? Excuse me?,” said a clearly unamused Berdych before the moderator told the journalist that Berdych had in fact lost.
“Does he know right, or is he trying to make fun of me?,” Berdych shot back.
Realizing his fatal mistake, the journalist quickly apologized but sadly for the chap, the deed was already done.
