Muhammad Imran: I intend to stay in the MHL

Pakistan’s Muhammad Imran has revealed that he intends to continue playing in the Malaysian Hockey League – brushing off speculations linking him with a move abroad.

The 36 year-old has reportedly received offers from several teams across the globe, though he is determined to remain in the MHL for the time being.

“I’m still interested in staying in the MHL and I am still in the process of evaluating several offers but I have a package with some other Pakistani players to be offered to interested teams,” he said, as quoted by Harian Metro.

The 36-year-old player, who currently plays for the Kuala Lumpur Hockey Club has also recently resigned as the Pakistani captain following their woeful performance against France which eliminated them and left them stranded at the bottom of the Hockey World League table.
