SEA Games: Hariff Salleh ends 10-year gold drought

National cyclist Mohd Hariff Salleh had contributed a gold medal for Malaysia today through the road race cycling event as he dominated the criterium event.

This is the first gold medal for the said event in ten years, courtesy of Suhardi Hassan during the 2005 SEA Games. The silver medal was given to Le Van Duan of Vietnam whereas bronze was given to Singapore’s Vincent Ang.

Meanwhile in the women’s event, Jupha Som Net served up a bronze medal, trailing behind gold medalist Jutatip Maneephan of Thailand and silver medalist Nguyen Thi That of Vietnam.
