Malaysia secured their second victory in the SEA Games after clinching a 2-0 win over Brunei earlier today.
Their chances of qualifying for the knockout rounds came to a crushing end last time out, when they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Thailand, but this game was all about pride.
Datuk Ong Kim Swee’s men struggled in the first half, as the game went into half time 0-0. But after the break, they packed a little more punch into their attack and started to be a real threat on the offence.
Nurridzuan Abu Hassan ultimately broke the deadlock on the 71st minute, before Adam Norazlin made it 2-0 just five minutes later.
More to come…
