National top seeds Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong are the only remaining representatives at the Indonesian Open Premier Super Series after successfully setting foot into the second round.
During the first round, V Shem and Wee Kiong managed to defeat Japanese pair Hirokatsu Hashimoto and Noriyasu Hirata in straight sets 21-18 and 21-15, all in under 38 minutes.
The duo is set for an uphill battle today when they face world eighth seeds Fu Hai Feng and Zhang Nan from China, whom won over hosts Angga Pratama and Ricky Karanda Suwardi 24-22 and 21-11.
Meanwhile, men’s singles player Zulfadli Zulkiffli presented a rather disappointing performance as he was ousted by China’s Wang Zhengming 11-21 and 15-21 within a period of 31 minutes.
