Bastian Schweinsteiger is known for his role as a midfielder playing for the Bavarian giants, Bayern Munich and also captain for the German national football team. However, did you know that the 30 year-old is also the boyfriend of tennis star Ana Ivanovic?
Throughout the ongoing French Open, Schweinsteger was seen in the front of the stands as Ivanovic’s entourage. He has been present in most of her games and had continuously cheered her on. He was constantly giving her support and engrossed in the matches.
The seventh seed Serbian fought her way to victory against Russian Ekaterina Makavora on the French clay court to stamp her place in the quarter finals yesterday. It was her first since 2008.
Ivanovic had secured her win in the first set 7-5 but bounced back 3-6 in the second before thrashing Makavora 6-1 in the final set.
Even though it was her game, Schweinsteiger seemed even more exhilarated than his girlfriend.
