Singapore’s netball team got their SEA Games campaign off to an encouraging start after sealing a massive win over Brunei earlier today.
Playing at the OCBC Arena Hall 1, the Singaporean netballers put on an impressive display by sealing a 72-21 win over the Bruneians.
Chairmaine Soh, who is arguably one of the most talented players within the home side’s squad, was the player of the match as she contributed 38 points, ahead Pamela Liew’s 18 and Chen Huifen’s 16.
Meanwhile, Thailand also secured a winning start by beating the Philippines 62-22. Malaysia on the other hand, will be taking on Myanmar at 5.30 PM later today.
Singapore’s next match will be against Thailand, with the game slated to take place on Monday.
