Australian teenage star Nick Kyrgios will be taking on Roger Federer in what should be a cracking second round affair at the Madrid Masters.
The 20 year-old only needed over 60 minutes to ease past Spanish qualifier Daniel Gimeno-Traver in the first round of the competition yesterday, winning 6-2, 6-3.
Kyrgios will be looking to keep his momentum going, after reaching the final of the Estoril Open last week, and the match against Federer will serve as a crucial test, ahead of the upcoming French Open.
Meanwhile, Fernando Verdasco is also through to the second round, though he was made to work his socks off before claiming a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over compatriot Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
