National shuttlers Arif Latif and Goh Jin Wei have been given the green light to join the training camp for the upcoming South East Asian Games.
BAM’s Technical Director Morten Frost Hansen confirmed the decision to include both individuals in the squad, claiming that their performances have been better than some of the other shuttlers under BAM’s tutelage.
“Arif deserves to be in the national squad. He’s been doing really well in simulation matches, and he’s also performed well in tournaments since last January,” Frost told Harian Metro.
“Jin Wei is the youngest player in the national squad and she’s only 15. She will feature in the SEA Games, and to be frank, I really want to see her in action.”
While the SEA Games remains a major focus, the national squad is currently preparing for the Sudirman Cup, which will begin this weekend.
