The Badminton Association of Malaysia has announced the nation’s line-up for the upcoming Sudirman Cup, which will held in Dongguan, China, between the 10th and 17th of May.
The squad will consist of coaches Hendrawan and Jeremy Gan, with Lee Chong Wei being appointed as captain alongside two vice-captains in the form of Tan Wee Kiong and Vivian Hoo.
14 players will travel to Dongguan, and each category will have a main representatives as well as a back-up. The men’s singles will be represented by Lee Chong Wei and Cheam June Wei. Tee Jing Yi will take on the women’s singles with Lim Yin Fun as a back-up.
For the men’s doubles section, Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong while Mak Hee Chun will be on the bench. The women’s doubles will be represented by Vivian Hoo, Woon Khe Wei and Amelia Anscelly. Mixed doubles will consist of Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying with a back-up pair of Wong Fai Yin and Chow Mei Kuan.
