Kelantan’s Azraai Khor delighted with new foreign signings

Azraai Khor may have not had a comfortable start to life in Kelantan, but the tide appears to be turning and there’s a specific reason to it.

The former-Perak head coach was unhappy with the foreigners that previously existed in the squad, when he first took charge, and that led to their struggles in the league. But since then, he has already signed two new foreign players in the form of Austin Amutu and Gilmar da Silva; a move that has inspired them to win their last two games.

Austin Amutu led them to a win over Sime Darby in the second leg of their FA Cup tie, while Gilmar’s scored a goal in their 2-1 win over Selangor last weekend.

“I salute the performances of Carillo, Amutu and Gilmar as they were very effective against Selangor the other day,” Azraai told Harian Metro.

“They attacked from different angles and that caused Selangor problems. Even Norfarhan, who came on for Piya, rediscovered his goal-scoring touch as well.”

Kelantan will next travel to Kuching to take on Sarawak FA on the 2nd of May.
