VIDEO: Australian footballer scores mind-blowing solo goal

There’s a special thrill about watching and even scoring solo goals; United fans will understand if you watched Ryan Giggs score ‘that goal’ against Arsenal in 1999.

Adelaide United’s Tarek Elrich, who has been in fine form over the last few months and even forced his way into the Australian national team in recent times, scored a goal that is not only being touted for the Puskas Award nomination, but also being considered as one of the greatest goals to have been scored in the history of the A-League.

He picked up the ball in his own half, charged forward relentlessly, beating three players in the process, before coolly slotting home, past the Melbourne City goalkeeper.
