The Malaysian Basketball contingent will be in for a tough run at the upcoming SEA Games after they were drawn into the same group with 10-time champions, Philippines.
The draw was conducted yesterday, with Malaysia being drawn into Group A alongside Philippines and Indonesia. Group B on the other hand, features Singapore and Thailand.
Vietnam and Timor Leste have not been drawn into any groups yet, as they will be participating in Basketball for the inaugural time this year. Another draw will held to specifically determine the groups of those two nations.
The 28th edition of the SEA Games will see a total number of nine contenders. The inter-group tournament will take place first before the top two from each group advance into the semis.
