2015 ARRC: Mohammad Zamri Baba wins round two

National rider Mohamad Zamri Baba dominated the second round of Supersports 600cc race to claim victory at the ongoing 2015 Asian Road Racing Championship in Sepang.

Zamri ended the race with the best time on the grid, clocking 27 minutes and 53.707 seconds to clinch the title. The Mushashi Boon Siew Honda Racing team racer finished 0.774 seconds ahead of Indonesias Ahmad Yudhistire, who came in second and Dimas Ekky Pratama, who finished third.

“I was riding at a slower pace at the beginning of the race, to get use to the wet track conditions,” he told Harian Metro.

“However, when I got used to the track, I bounced back to overtake the other riders one by one and finished strongly.”

This victory marks a mini revival for Zamri, who was unhappy with his second place finish during the season opener, with his teammate Yuki Takahashi seizing the win.
