National diver Pandelela Rinong has dismissed negative talks surrounding her poor form in recent times, claiming that she is fully focused on getting back to full fitness for the time being.
The Sarawak-born diver has been struggling with a left knee injury that she picked up during a training stint in Guangzhou, one month prior to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games last August.
She spent several months on the sidelines, before returning to action recently. However, Pandelela has struggled in her last two tournaments in Beijing and Dubai, though as far as she is concerned, recovery is the only thing on her mind at this point.
“I have been recovering well, but the injury still hurts. It’s tolerable though. And I’m fully focused on getting that out-of-the-way,” Pandelela told Harian Metro.
Pandelela’s next tournament would be the third leg of the World Series, which would take place in Kazan between the 24th to 26th of April.
