Johor DT complete signing of Alhaji Kamara

Johor DT have completed the loan signing of Sierra Leone striker Alhaji Kamara from Swedish side IFK Norrköping, with a view to a permanent deal in November.

The Southern Tigers agreed the terms and conditions of his loan deal recently and it now appears that Kamara has also passed his medical to join Patito Rodriguez as their second signing of the April transfer window.

The move was first announced on the Facebook page of IFK Norrköping, with club director Magnus Karlsson claiming that Johor DT’s offer was one that was too good to refuse, despite the player being extremely valuable to the team.

Lucho has been struggling with a knee injury for quite some time, this move indicates that his recovery process isn’t entirely complete; something that could hurt Johor DT’s chances of doing well this year.

But with Alhaji Kamara joining the club, Bojan Hodak now has a wide array of attacking talent at his disposal. Patito Rodriguez is also available to make his debut this weekend, while Amri Yahya is slowly regaining his form and momentum, having been out for a considerable amount of time.

Kamara started his career with Belvic United, before making a move over to FC Kallon in the Sierra Leone National Premier League. He then went on several loan spells abroad, before officially signing for IFK Norrköping in 2014. The 20 year-old has an impressive record in Sweden thus far, having netted 10 goals in 26 appearances.
