Patito Rodriguez arrives in Johor ahead of April transfer window

Argentinean forward Patito Rodriguez has arrived in Johor Bahru ahead of his imminent loan move from Brazilian side Santos FC.

The speedy forward will be joining Johor DT as soon as the April transfer window opens, but his early arrival will allow him to train and get used to the team dynamics before being assimilated into the side.

The Southern Tigers started the season on a high note, but they have struggled for form over the last few weeks, particularly due to the absence of their foreign strikers, who are out injured. But as far as Patito is concerned, he is determined to help Johor DT elevate to a new level.

“This puts an end to all the speculations. I’m already here to join Johor DT and I’m determined to give my best and help the team win every single game,” he was quoted as saying by Harian Metro.

“Prior to this, I was already going through videos of the team to get a better understanding of the team and it’s tactics. I did not travel thousands of miles for a holiday. But I’m committed to helping the team retain its league title this year.

Patito previously plied his trade with Independiete, where he played alongside Johor DT II’s Nicolas Delmonte, before making the shift over to Santos in 2012.
