Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney has reputation of being a player that’s extremely robust on the pitch but even his abilities are not absolute. He can be pretty violent on the pitch, particularly with his tackles and has received his fair share of bookings as well as red cards.
But in what appeared to be a friendly boxing clash against Phil Bardsley, Rooney was knocked out by a sucker punch from the ex-Man United defender and the England forward was reportedly taken aback by the punch as well.
The video below shows how both men exchanged several punches in the beginning, before Bardsley ultimately delivered the knockout blow, sending Rooney down to the ground instantly!
