National men’s doubles shuttlers Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong have advanced to the 2015 Swiss Open quarter finals after defeating England’s Mathew Nottingham and Harley Towler in the previous round.

The Malaysian duo managed to seal the round in 29 minutes, beating Nottingham and Towler with a 21-17, 22-20 straight set victory.

This victory allows them to set up a last eight clash with Japan’s Takuto Inque and Yuki Kaneko, who defeated Christopher Coles and Paul Van Rietvelde with a scrappy 18-21, 21-15, 21-16 victory.

Meanwhile, Malaysian women’s doubles pair Amelia Alicia Anscelly and Fie Cho Soong have also booked a spot in the last eight after edging Germany’s Johanna Goliszewski and Carla Nelte with a 21-16, 18-21, 21-16 victory

However, Zulfadli Zulkifli was sent packing by Indonesia’s Christie Jonatan, who secured a close 16-21, 21-18, 21-13 victory.
