Sime Darby head coach Ismail Zakaria is not a happy man right now following his team’s disastrous start to the Super League season.
Despite doing quite well last year, the Giant Killers have lost all four of their league games thus far, and the 2-0 loss to Pahang last weekend, was certainly the last straw for head coach Ismail Zakaria.
The 52 year-old has promised to ring the changes over the next few weeks, and is specifically infuriated with the performance of Uzbek playmaker Dilshod Sharofetdinov.
“As far as I can say, I’m extremely disappointed with the performance of Dilshod. He has not shown any signs of improvement to strengthen the squad,” Ismail told Harian Metro.
“I will be making significant changes and I hope it helps us provide a stronger challenge for our opponents. And hopefully we’ll be able to start gaining points in league games,” he added.
This certainly comes as a massive surprise, considering Dilshod’s imperious form last season, when he inspired Sime Darby to a 5th place finish in the league.
