Seven time F1 World Champions Michael Schumacher is reportedly still facing a long fight for recovery; a year after his skiing accident took place on 29 December 2013.
The 45 year-old suffered severe head injury in that accident, and it took place while he was trying to help a fallen family friend, who unfortunately fell and hit his head against a rock/
Schumacher was then placed under induced coma, and went on to gain consciousness in June, before being discharged in September. However, his former manager Sabine Kehm believes that he still has a long way to go before he completes full recovery.
“We need a long time. It’s going to be a long time and a hard fight,” Sabine said.
“He is making progress appropriate to the severity of the situation”
Ex-Forrmula One driver Philippe Strieff recently claimed that Schumacher is starting to recognise his loved ones, though he is still struggling to recover his power of speech. The source of the information was supposedly Schumacher’s wife, Corinne, though his manager refused to confirm the speculation.
“I cannot confirm that report” she said.
“I can only confirm that I do not know where Mr Streiff has his information from because he has no contact with us and he never has.”
