Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardio believes that he has what it takes to become a Formula One World Champion soon, after impressing throughout the 2014 calendar.
The Australian Formula One star, who finished third in the drivers standing behind Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, secured a grand total of three victories throughout last season, but is already setting his sights on bigger things ahead of the 2015 season.
“I definitely think I can,” he said. “It’s a long season and a lot comes into play, but I definitely believe if I got the opportunity and the equipment behind me, then I can do it.
“I proved this year I’m a race winner and can race hard at the front and deal with the pressure.”
The 25 year-old has taken over as Red Bull’s No 1 driver, following Sebastian Vettel’s departure to Ferrari. Partnering him in 2015 would be Daniil Kvyat from Russia.
