Tennis fans to receive 60 percent refund

ATP will have to pay out £1 million in compensation for Roger Federer’s last minute withdrawal at the World Tour Final’s final.

Fans will receive a 60 percent ticket refund as they were denied the chance to witness the final showdown between the Swiss and Novak Djokovic.

Federer was forced to pull out of the showdown with Djokovic because of a back injury, and Andy Murray stepped in at the very last minute to face the world No 1 in an exhibition match.

Murray then teamed up with John McEnroe and faced Tim Henman and Pat Cash in a doubles match.

Fans had paid up to £110 for their seats at the end-of-season tournament.
