Andik Vermansyah will be a Selangor player for another year, after extending his contract with the Red Giants earlier today.
The speedy Indonesian winger was a fan favourite this year, with his pace and trickery on the flanks. He also found the net seven times in 26 games, despite being disrupted by injuries on several occasions.

However, his decision comes as a surprise, considering that Selangor FA were recently accused by Paulo Rangel for not processing salary payments efficiently in the last two months; something that Azmi Muslim eventually echoed on Rangel’s instagram post as well.
The Red Giants eventually retaliated via an official statement, claiming that there was zero truth to Rangel’s accusations and that they were determined to deal with the matter internally.
These recent fracas has affected Selangor’s transfer negotiations to a certain extent, with rumours speculating that Junior’s decision to sign with Johor DT, despite being heavily linked with a move to Selangor, happened due to his concerns with inefficient management of players.
But that controversy appears to have had no effect with Andik, with him extending the contract, while also claiming that he’s looking forward to yet another season in Malaysia.
