There’s something about speedy cars and dragstrip; they offer you that immeasurable feeling of being a King on the road. But Swiss cyclist Francois Gissy experienced that epiphany on nothing but a bicycle. And he took down a Ferrari in the process!
Equipped with a bicycle that has a rocket engine attached to it, providing 4.2 kN worth of thrust, Francois managed to hit the 207 mph mark and set a new world record, within 4.8 seconds of start. And it only took him 6.8 seconds to complete a quarter mile dragstrip.
He achieved this impeccable statistic on solo attempts, but then went on to also humiliate a Ferrari 430 Scuderia, completing the track with a reasonable distance between itself and the Ferrari!.
But more importantly, this will not be the end of Francois attempt. According to reports, plans are already underway for a new bicycle, which apparently goes by the name of Spine Crusher, to attempt and shatter the World Record again next year.
