Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a January move for Barcelona defender Martin Montoya, as they seek to revive their fortunes in the Premier League.
The Reds have been shambolic in defence thus far, with Mamadou Sakho and Dejan Lovren both struggling for form this season. They have already conceded 15 goals in 11 games so far, which increases the pressure on Brendan Rodgers, heading into the winter transfer window.
Martin Montoya, who is a product of Barca’s famous La Masia Academy, has been on the fringes of the Barca team this campaign, and has apparently been told that the club won’t hesitate to listen to any offers for him.
The man himself is keen for a new challenge, and with a club of Liverpool’s stature expressing significant interest, Montoya is currently evaluating his options at Camp Nou.
