McLaren has reportedly given Fernando Alonso until the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi on November 23rd, to make his decision over his possible future with the team.
The Spaniard has been linked to a move over to the British team for awhile now, with Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel pegged to take over his place at the Scuderia from next season.
McLaren is said to want a definite answer from Alonso in the next two weeks, in order for them to finalize their 2015 line up.
Till today, there has yet to be any official conformation of the moves, nor has Ferarri made any statements on its plans for next year.
The two-time champion recently said he had yet to make up his mind for next year and was still considering what’s the best decision for his Formula One career.
Alonso, who is currently sixth in the driver’s standings with 167 points behind leader, Lewis Hamilton, has been with Ferrari since 2010, with his current contract expiring in 2016.
