Lee Chong Wei is said to be satisfied with the procedures to test his B sample, after spending over an hour at the Oslo University Hospital laboratory yesterday.
Malaysia’s National Sports Institute says the B Sample would be tested there, and the result is expected to be known in the next two to three days.
Its CEO, Datuk Dr Ramlan Abdul Aziz accompanied the world number 1 to Norway, along with Badminton Association of Malaysia’s general manager, Kenny Goh.
“We were present when the B sample was opened. It was later transferred to another container for testing purposes” he said.
The laboratory will then submit the result to the Badminton World Federation, who will inform the shuttler of the results through BAM.
If the 32 year old is found guilty, he will have to face a two-year ban from the sport, in accordance with BWF rules.
Lee was implicated in the doping scandal after traces of dexamethasone, which is used to aid an athlete’s rehabilitation process, was found during a random test at the World Championships in Copenhagen in August.
