Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka will lead Switzerland’s bid for its first Davis Cup title against hosts, France, this month.
Switzerland captain Severin Luethi retained the four-man team which beat Italy in the semifinals: second-ranked Federer, Australian Open champion Wawrinka, along with Marco Chiudinelli and Michael Lammer.
Federer and Wawrinka will prepare for the November 21st – 23rd final in Lille by playing the ATP finals in London on indoor hard courts.
Meanwhile, France picked a clay surface to play on under a retractable roof at the 27,000-capacity Pierre Mauroy Stadium.
France captain Arnaud Clement has not finalized his selection but he has chosen Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gael Monfils, Gilles Simon and Richard Gasquet; all residents of Switzerland, for a training camp in Bordeaux.
