Lewis Hamilton secured his 10th victory of the season after overtaking teammate Nico Rosberg to triumph in the United States Grand Prix
Rosberg started out on pole position, and seized the lead within the first turn of the race, but Hamilton was stellar in keeping the distance between him and Rosberg relatively safe, going into the first pitstop.
On lap 24 of the race, Hamilton made the move, diving for the inside at Turn 12, catching Rosberg by surprise, before seizing the lead all the way till the end of the race.
Victory for Hamilton means that Rosberg’s chances of overtaking his teammate in the World Championship standings is dealt with a massive blow, considering that Rosberg himself conceded that he needed three strong victories to close the gap.
