Caroline Wozniacki says the hardest part of training for this Sunday’s (November 2nd) race, was learning to run while drinking liquids at the same time.
The Danish tennis star managed to tackle 13 miles in a single training session, but admits she should be training more. However, she makes up for it by playing tennis up to 4 hours a day, as she doesn’t want to risk any injuries.

Wozniacki adds, that she’s aware of the possible embarrassments that could happen while she runs in the 26.2 mile race on Sunday. The NYC Marathon has humbled the most fearsome celebrity competitors, including former professional ice hockey star, Mark Messier.
The US Open Finalist committed to running long distances as a form of therapy, after she was dumped last Spring by Rory Mcllroy in a three minute telephone conversation, just before they were supposed to email out their wedding invitations.

Wozniacki has already earned over USD$50,000 from this race for the charity, Team for Kids. She will take a brief hiatus from tennis for two more weeks after the race in order to recover, before returning to the tour in Auckland, New Zealand.
