Rafael Nadal did not appear to be affected by his ongoing appendicitis problems, as he charged into the second round of the Swiss Indoors with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Simone Bolelli.
The world number 3, who has been on a 10-day antibiotics program, secured his first win in three visits to Basel in just 71 minutes.
The 28-year-old Spaniard broke the Italian on four occasions during his first round encounter.
