Tomas Berdych took home his 10th ATP World Tour title in Stockholm.
The 29 year old rallied past defending champion Grigor Dimitrov 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, to claim the crown, boosting his chances to qualify for the Emirates ATP Race to London. The Czech held his ground in seventh position, gaining a net total 160 points.
Berdych, who was a semi-finalist back in 2011, is seeking to qualify for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals for the fifth consecutive year.
Dimitrov, who is also eyeing a spot at the finals, remains in 11th position, 330 points behind Andy Murray for the eight and final berth. The Bulgarian is bidding to claim his fourth title of the year, following victories in Acapulco, Bucharest and London/Queen’s Club.
Berdych will continue his London quest with a trip to the Valencia Open 500, where he opens against Pablo Andujar. Dimitrov meanwhile, will be heading to Switzerland for the Swiss Indoors Basel.
