Reigning Australian Open champions Stan Wawrinka has officially qualified for the ATP World Tour Finals, which is set to take place later this year in London.
The 29 year-old Swiss will now be the fourth player to make the ranks, following in the footsteps of Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic as well as Rafael Nadal.
Wawrinka expressed his delight at being able to secure the slot, claiming that the opportunity of competing with the best of the lot is something that he is really looking forward to.
“It was my dream and goal to qualify again this year after the great experience in 2013,” he said.
“The atmosphere in London is one of a kind and it means a lot to me to be there together with the very best players of the world.”
The Swiss will however be looking to improve his form, having suffered an early exit at the recent Shanghai Masters.
