Pahang FC have officially announced the appointment of Razip Ismail as their new head coach.
The ex-Harimau Muda boss signed his deal earlier today, witnessed by Pahang’s General Secretary Mr. Fuzzeimi and Vice-President Dato’ Akhbar.
The 53 year-old started his coaching career with Kuala Lumpur and he managed to bring them to the Super League (MSL) in 2010. However, Kuala Lumpur was relegated to the Premier League after ending up at the bottom of the MSL in his last season.
The ex-national team defender took over Harimau Muda B squad in 2013 and he won the Bangabandhu Cup in 2015 after beating Bangladesh 3-2 in the final.
Pahang were initially interested in ex-Singapore head coach Fandi Ahmad, but the Singaporean rejected the offer. The Elephants were also inked with former Kedah coach, Ramon Marcote, though it now appears that Razip will spearheading their onslaught for the rest of the year.
More to come…
