Former Kelantan man Azraai Khor Abdullah has been confirmed as the new head coach of Premier League side Sabah after agreeing to accept the offer from Sabah Football Association (SAFA).
Azraai, who guided Kedah to a treble winning season in 2008, said the decision was made after two meetings with SAFA representatives, including president Datuk Seri Musa Aman.

“I have to thank Sabah’s management team, especially SAFA President,” he told the club’s official website, sabahfa.com.
“In my opinion, it’s not an easy task to start with as I have to build the team from scratch, with the hope of competing in the Super League in the future.”
Azraai added that he will work hard and select the best players for the Sabah side when he begins his job officially on October 1st.
“What I expect is the cooperation of players, management and also the fans, who I’m confident, will continue supporting us for the upcoming 2016 season.”
The 62 year-old has signed a one year contract with SAFA, with full power given over the selection of players.
